Description
Hans Christian Andersen’s famous tale was brought to life in the 1957 animation by director Lev Atamanov. Ion Concert Media has paired scenes from this classic film with Grieg’s delightful “Symphonic Dances” to create a 12-minute work, perfect for your next holiday program. Some movements have CUTs, please check the Performance Notes for details. Care was taken to make each CUT both musical and playable. Premiered in live performance with the Minnesota Orchestra in 2015.
