Prayers (for a Troubled Nation)
Preview
Description
Through text and images, this film serves as a meditation on the word “We” in the Preamble to the United States Constitution: “We the People.” What does it mean to be an American? Who is included; who is excluded? Ion Concert Media founder Scott Winters created this film as a response to the violence in Charlottesville, VA in August 2017. Set to the music of Jack Stamp, and based on the poem The New Colossus by Emma Lazarus, it explores the perpetual identity struggle faced by a nation of immigrants.
